How To Make Matcha Green Tea Chocolate Chip Cookies

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp matcha green tea powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, matcha green tea powder, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.

Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
