How To Make Grandma’s Lace Cookies

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup finely chopped nuts (optional)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.

Stir in the sugar until well combined, then remove from heat.

Add the flour, rolled oats, nuts (if using), and vanilla extract to the saucepan. Stir until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

Drop teaspoonfuls of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.

Using the back of a spoon, spread the batter into thin, lace-like circles.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
