Ingredients

  • 2 cups of fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter, melted
  • Vanilla ice cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the blueberries, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Mix well.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, 1/4 cup of granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  4. Gradually stir in the milk and melted butter until just combined. The batter will be slightly lumpy.

  5. Pour the blueberry mixture into a 9-inch square baking dish. Spoon the batter evenly over the blueberries.

  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the cobbler is golden brown and the blueberries are bubbling.

  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

  8. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
