How To Make Caramels

- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 cup of corn syrup
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp of salt
Instructions

In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the sugar, heavy cream, corn syrup, unsalted butter, and salt.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture reaches a temperature of 248°F (120°C) on a candy thermometer.

Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

Pour the caramel mixture into a greased 8×8 inch baking dish and let it cool for about 30 minutes.

Once cooled, cut the caramel into small squares or rectangles.

Wrap each caramel in wax paper and store in an airtight container.
