How To Make Strawberry Chocolate Mousse Cake

Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon gelatin powder
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, melted
- 1 ½ cups chocolate cake crumbs
- Fresh strawberries, for garnish
- Whipped cream, for garnish
Instructions

In a blender or food processor, puree the strawberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice until smooth.

In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.

Heat the strawberry puree in a saucepan over medium heat until warm. Remove from heat and stir in the gelatin mixture until fully dissolved. Allow to cool to room temperature.

In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.

Gently fold the cooled strawberry mixture into the whipped cream until well combined.

In serving glasses or a cake mold, layer the chocolate cake crumbs and strawberry mousse, starting and ending with the crumbs.

Refrigerate the mousse cake for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.

Once set, remove from the refrigerator and garnish with fresh strawberries and whipped cream before serving.
