  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 medium apple, peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup toffee bits
  • Powdered sugar, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour four individual cake tins.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

  3. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the vanilla extract.

  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.

  5. Fold in the diced apple and toffee bits.

  6. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared cake tins.

  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  8. Allow the cakes to cool in the tins for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

  9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
