  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup cream-style corn

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease an 8-inch square baking dish.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. In another bowl, mix together the milk, vegetable oil, honey, melted butter, and beaten eggs.

  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

  5. Fold in the cream-style corn.

  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.

  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
