Preparation: 20 minutes
Cooking: 30 minutes
Total: 50 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9-inch baking dish with parchment paper.

  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Add sugar and vanilla extract, stirring until well combined.

  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually add the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, mixing until just combined.

  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  5. In a separate bowl, mix together the creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, and melted butter until smooth.

  6. Once the brownies have cooled slightly, spread the peanut butter mixture evenly over the top.

  7. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Pour the ganache over the peanut butter layer, spreading it to the edges.

  8. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until the chocolate is set. Cut into squares and serve.
