- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter or line it with parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until well combined.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.

If desired, fold in the chopped walnuts.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.

Bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
