How To Make Swedish Cinnamon Buns Recipe
Soft and fluffy buns with a sweet, cinnamon filling.

Ingredients
- 2 and 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 3 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine yeast and warm milk and let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.

Add sugar, melted butter, salt, egg, and 2 cups of flour and mix until smooth.

Gradually add in remaining 1 and 1/2 cups of flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a small bowl, mix together softened butter, sugar, and cinnamon to make the filling.

Roll out the dough into a large rectangle and spread the filling evenly on top.

Roll up the dough tightly, then cut into 12 even pieces.

Place the buns on the prepared baking sheet and let rise for 30 minutes.

Bake the buns for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
