How To Make Bacalhau à Brás Recipe
Classic Portuguese dish with shredded cod, eggs, and crispy potato shoestrings.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 lb salt cod, soaked overnight
- 4 large potatoes, cut into thin shoestrings
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 6 eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions

Boil the soaked cod for 10-15 minutes and shred into small pieces. Set aside.

Fry the potato shoestrings in hot oil until crispy. Set aside.

In a separate pan, sauté the onions and garlic until golden brown.

Add the shredded cod to the pan and cook for a few minutes.

Beat the eggs and pour over the cod mixture. Cook until scrambled.

Add the crispy potato shoestrings and mix well.

Season with salt and pepper to taste and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
