How To Make Waffled Falafel Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Olive oil for brushing
Instructions

In a food processor, combine chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, salt, and black pepper. Pulse until well combined but still slightly chunky.

Transfer mixture to a bowl and stir in flour and baking powder until everything is well incorporated.

Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer’s instructions.

Spray waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray or brush with olive oil.

Spoon about 1/4 cup of the falafel mixture onto each section of the waffle iron and close the lid.

Cook for about 4-5 minutes or until falafel is crispy and golden brown.

Remove falafel from the waffle iron and repeat with the remaining mixture.

Serve warm with tzatziki sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
