Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small zucchini, sliced
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Szechuan peppercorns
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, Szechuan peppercorns, honey, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Set aside.

  2. In a large frying pan or wok, heat vegetable oil over high heat.

  3. Add beef strips and stir-fry until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. Add bell peppers, zucchini, green onions, and garlic. Stir-fry for another 3-5 minutes, until vegetables are tender and fragrant.

  5. Pour in the sauce mixture and stir until evenly coated. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.

  6. Season with salt to taste.

  7. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
