  • 4 chicken leg quarters
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp of paprika
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp of onion powder
  • 1 tsp of dried basil
  • 1 tsp of dried thyme
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of black pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and place a baking rack on a rimmed baking sheet.

  2. In a shallow dish, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, basil, thyme, salt, and pepper together.

  3. In another shallow dish, whisk eggs and milk together.

  4. Dip each chicken leg quarter in the egg mixture, then coat in the seasoned flour mixture.

  5. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken until golden brown on each side, about 8-10 minutes total.

  6. Transfer the fried chicken to the baking rack and bake for 20-25 minutes until crisp and cooked through.
