How To Make Mrs. Clinton’s Pecan Pie

A classic pecan pie with a buttery crust and a rich filling of pecans and gooey caramel.

Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust
  • 1 cup of chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup of corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. Unroll and press pie crust into a 9-inch pie plate. Trim and crimp edges as desired.

  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt.

  4. Stir in the chopped pecans.

  5. Pour the pecan mixture into the prepared pie crust.

  6. Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the filling is set and golden brown.

  7. Remove from the oven and let cool completely before slicing and serving.
