How To Make Mimi’s Cafe’s Croque Monsieur Recipe
French style ham and cheese sandwich served hot with a béchamel sauce.

Ingredients
- 8 slices of bread
- 8 ounces of sliced ham
- 8 slices of Swiss cheese
- 2 tbsp of butter
- 2 tbsp of flour
- 1 cup of milk
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Melt butter in a pan and mix in flour.

Gradually pour milk into the pan while stirring. Cook until it thickens.

Season with salt and pepper and set aside.

Toast bread slices.

Top 4 slices with a slice of ham and Swiss cheese.

Top with remaining bread slices to form a sandwich.

Brush tops with béchamel sauce.

Bake sandwiches for about 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
