How To Make Gino’s Lemon Ice Recipe

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups of water
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the lemon juice, sugar, water, and lemon zest. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved.

  2. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.

  3. Once cooled, pour the mixture into a shallow dish and place in the freezer. Freeze for 1 hour.

  4. After 1 hour, use a fork to scrape the frozen mixture. Return to the freezer and repeat every 30 minutes for 2-3 hours, or until you have a fluffy, icy texture.

  5. To serve, spoon the lemon ice into bowls and garnish with fresh mint leaves, if desired.
