How To Make Church’s Chicken Fried Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat a deep fryer or pot of oil to 350°F.

  2. In a shallow dish, whisk together the flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper.

  3. In another shallow dish, pour the buttermilk.

  4. Dip each chicken breast first in the buttermilk, then coat it in the seasoned flour mixture.

  5. Shake off any excess flour and carefully place the chicken in the hot oil.

  6. Fry for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.

  7. Remove the chicken from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
