How To Make Black Kettle Restaurant’s Shepherd’s Pie
A hearty classic made with seasoned ground beef, vegetables, and topped with creamy mashed potatoes.

Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup frozen peas
- 1/2 cup frozen carrots
- 1/2 cup frozen corn
- 1 tbsp. tomato paste
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup beef broth
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2-3 cups of prepared mashed potatoes
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat for 7-8 minutes.

Add garlic and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Add peas, carrots, corn, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth. Stir to combine.

Simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until broth has reduced by half.

Pour mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.

Spread prepared mashed potatoes evenly over the top of the beef mixture.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the potatoes are golden brown.
