Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 cup of buttermilk
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp of onion powder
  • 1 tsp of paprika
  • 1 tsp of cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, marinate chicken in buttermilk for at least 4 hours or overnight in the fridge.

  2. In another bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.

  3. Heat vegetable oil in a Dutch oven or deep frying pan until it reaches 350°F.

  4. Take chicken out of the buttermilk, shake off excess, and coat with flour mixture.

  5. Carefully place chicken in the hot oil and fry for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

  6. Place the fried chicken on a wire rack to drain off excess oil.

  7. Serve hot.
