Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped spring onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, lemon juice, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch.

  4. Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and add some oil.

  5. Sear the chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

  6. Pour the sauce over the chicken and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

  7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is sticky and caramelized.

  8. Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.

  9. Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve with rice or noodles.
