How To Make Chicken Creole Recipe

- 4 chicken breasts, boneless
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons Creole seasoning
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Vegetable oil
Instructions

Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and 1 tablespoon of Creole seasoning.

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the onion, bell pepper, celery, and garlic. Cook for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are softened.

Stir in the tomato paste, diced tomatoes, chicken broth, paprika, dried thyme, dried oregano, cayenne pepper, and remaining Creole seasoning. Bring to a simmer.

Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them. Cover and simmer for about 30 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
