- 8 slices of bread
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 2 tbsp butter
- Maple syrup, for serving

In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.

Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides evenly.

Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
