Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons matcha powder
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 ¼ cups milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Cooking spray or additional butter for greasing
Instructions
-
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, matcha powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
-
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter.
-
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are ok.
-
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with cooking spray or butter.
-
Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown.
-
Repeat with the remaining batter.
-
Serve the pancakes warm with your favorite toppings such as maple syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.
