Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of melted butter
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp of baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp of baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 1/2 cup of chopped nuts (such as walnuts or pecans)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.

  2. In a large bowl, mix together the mashed bananas, sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.

  5. Fold in the chopped nuts.

  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  8. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
