  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Add the cold butter cubes to the dry ingredients and use a pastry cutter or your fingertips to cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. Make a well in the center of the mixture and pour in the buttermilk. Stir until just combined and a soft dough forms.

  5. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it gently for about 1 minute.

  6. Roll out the dough to about 1-inch thickness and use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

  8. Serve warm and enjoy!
