Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp dried Italian herbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
-
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, Italian herbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, sugar, and instant yeast.
-
Gradually add warm water to the dry ingredients, mixing well until a soft dough forms.
-
Knead the dough for about 5 minutes, until it becomes smooth and elastic.
-
Grease a bowl with olive oil, place the dough in it, and cover with a clean kitchen towel. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
-
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
-
Punch down the dough to release any air bubbles, then shape it into a loaf shape and place it on a greased baking sheet.
-
Brush the top of the loaf with olive oil and sprinkle some additional Italian herbs on top.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
-
Remove from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
