Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp dried basil
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp active dry yeast
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, basil, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and yeast.

  2. Add warm water to the bowl of dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.

  3. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes.

  4. Grease a large bowl with cooking spray and transfer the dough to the bowl.

  5. Cover the bowl with a damp towel and let the dough rise in a warm, draft-free place for 1 hour.

  6. Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C).

  7. Punch down the dough and transfer it to a greased baking sheet.

  8. Spread the grated Parmesan and shredded mozzarella cheese over the dough, pressing it gently into the surface.

  9. Bake for 25 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  10. Serve warm.
