Ingredients

  • 4 steak fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 cups cooked lentils
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Season the steak fillets with salt, pepper, and dried oregano.

  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over high heat. Add the steak fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare.

  3. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.

  4. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add the cooked lentils, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.

  5. Slice the steak fillets into thin strips.

  6. Serve the steak on top of the lemony lentils and garnish with chopped parsley.
