How To Make Goose and Wild Rice Pilaf Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup uncooked wild rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 pound cooked goose meat, shredded
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse the wild rice and combine with water and salt in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, cover, and simmer until fully cooked, about 40-50 minutes.

  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and saute onion until soft, about 2-3 minutes. Add garlic and thyme and cook for another minute.

  3. Stir in the cooked rice and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for 10 minutes.

  4. Add the goose meat, parsley, salt, and pepper. Simmer for another 5 minutes until heated through.

  5. Serve hot and enjoy a delicious and nourishing meal.
