Ingredients

  • 1 lb of goose meat, diced
  • 2 tbsp of butter
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp of flour
  • 1 cup of chicken broth
  • 2 apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 tsp of thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat.

  3. Add onion and garlic, sauté until softened.

  4. Add in the goose meat and cook until browned.

  5. Sprinkle flour over the meat, stirring for 2 minutes.

  6. Pour in the chicken broth and stir for additional 2 minutes.

  7. Add diced apples, thyme, salt, and pepper.

  8. Simmer for 10 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  9. Pour the mixture into a pie crust, flatten the top, and place in oven.

  10. Bake for approximately 45 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.

  11. Serve hot.
