How To Make Peking Duck Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 whole duck (about 5-6 pounds)
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 teaspoon of Chinese five-spice powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 4 spring onions, finely sliced
- 4 small cucumbers, cut into matchsticks
- 16 pancakes or steamed buns, warmed
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).

In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, Chinese five-spice powder, and salt.

Place the duck on a wire rack in a roasting pan. Brush the sauce mixture all over the duck, ensuring it’s evenly coated.

Roast the duck in the preheated oven for 3 hours, basting with the sauce every 30 minutes.

Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and roast for an additional 15-20 minutes to crisp up the skin.

Remove the duck from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.

Carve the duck into thin slices.
