How To Make Whole Grain Oatmeal Cookies
A healthy twist on classic oatmeal cookies, made with whole grain flour and less sugar.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole grain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy.

Add in egg and vanilla extract, mix until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together whole grain flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.

Mix in rolled oats until evenly distributed.

Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.

Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
