Ingredients

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup flaxseed meal
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1¾ cups milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, flaxseed meal, baking powder, and salt.

  2. In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add milk, vegetable oil, honey, and vanilla extract. Mix well.

  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

  4. Let the batter rest for 5 minutes.

  5. Preheat the waffle iron at medium-high heat.

  6. Pour the batter onto the waffle iron and cook until golden brown and crispy.

  7. Serve hot with your preferred toppings.
