How To Make Swiss Cheese Schnitzel

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, grated
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) to keep the schnitzels warm.

  2. Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness.

  3. In one shallow bowl, combine the flour, salt, and black pepper.

  4. In another shallow bowl, place the beaten eggs.

  5. In a third shallow bowl, mix the bread crumbs and Swiss cheese.

  6. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour mixture, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and coat it with the bread crumb mixture.

  7. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  8. Fry the schnitzels for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

  9. Transfer the cooked schnitzels to a baking sheet and keep warm in the preheated oven while preparing the others.

  10. Serve the Swiss cheese schnitzels with a side of salad or potatoes.
