How To Make Morel Mushroom and Sage Cream Sauce Recipe
A creamy and savory sauce made with morel mushrooms and fresh sage.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 cup of fresh morel mushrooms, chopped
- 1 shallot, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp of unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp of all-purpose flour
- 1 cup of chicken broth
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- 2 tbsp of fresh sage, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the chopped shallot and minced garlic. Cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes.

Add the chopped morels and cook until they release their liquid, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the flour and stir until well combined.

Gradually add the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming.

Add the chopped sage and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Cook the sauce until it thickens to your desired consistency, about 10-12 minutes.
