How To Make Morel Mushroom and Fontina Grilled Cheese Recipe
A hearty and flavorful grilled cheese sandwich with earthy morel mushrooms and gooey fontina cheese.

Ingredients
- 8 slices of bread
- 4 tbsp of butter
- 1 cup of sliced morel mushrooms
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tsp of fresh thyme leaves
- 8 oz of fontina cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tbsp of butter.

Add the sliced morel mushrooms, minced garlic, and fresh thyme leaves. Cook for 5 minutes until the mushrooms become tender.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Spread 1/2 tbsp of butter on one side of each slice of bread.

Place 4 slices of bread, buttered side down, on a clean surface.

Top each slice of bread with equal amounts of the cooked morel mushrooms and grated fontina cheese.

Place the remaining slices of bread on top, buttered side up.

Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt the remaining 1 tbsp of butter.

Cook the sandwiches for 2-3 minutes on each side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Slice in half and serve immediately.
