Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 small pizza crusts or 2 large crusts
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.

  3. Add the diced onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet, and cook until the vegetables are tender.

  4. Stir in the tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.

  5. Place the pizza crusts on a baking sheet or pizza stone.

  6. Spoon the sloppy joe mixture evenly over the pizza crusts.

  7. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing.

  10. Serve hot and enjoy!
