Ingredients

  • 2 lbs of barbacoa meat
  • 12 tortillas
  • 1 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, cook the barbacoa meat on low heat for 4 hours until tender.

  2. Shred the barbacoa meat using two forks.

  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.

  4. Dip each tortilla in the hot oil for a few seconds until it becomes pliable.

  5. Place a spoonful of shredded barbacoa meat in the center of each tortilla and fold it in half to create a taco shape.

  6. Fry the filled tacos in the hot oil until golden brown and crispy on both sides.

  7. Remove the tacos from the pan and drain excess oil on a paper towel.
