How To Make Stewed Lamb

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs lamb stew meat
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 2 stalks of celery, chopped
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.

  2. Add the lamb stew meat and brown on all sides.

  3. Remove the meat from the pot and set aside.

  4. In the same pot, add the onions, carrots, celery, and garlic. Cook until onions are translucent.

  5. Return the meat to the pot and add the beef broth, red wine, tomato paste, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper.

  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer for 2 hours, or until the lamb is tender.

  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
