  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain the excess fat.

  2. Add the chopped onion, garlic, bell pepper, and jalapeno pepper to the pot. Cook for 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are softened.

  3. Stir in the kidney beans, diced tomatoes, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.

  4. Bring the chili to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

  5. Serve hot with your choice of toppings, such as shredded cheese, sour cream, and green onions.
