How To Make Creamy Corn Chowder Recipe
A thick and creamy chowder made with sweet corn, potatoes, and bacon bits.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 4 slices of bacon, diced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 large potatoes, peeled and diced
- 2 cups frozen or canned corn kernels
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions

In a large saucepan, fry the bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside.

In the same saucepan, sauté the onion and garlic until soft.

Add in the diced potatoes, corn kernels, and chicken broth. Simmer for 20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.

Using an immersion blender, blend the soup until smooth. If you don’t have an immersion blender, carefully blend in batches in a regular blender.

Pour the heavy cream into the soup and stir until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve the chowder hot, sprinkled with crispy bacon bits and chopped parsley.
