How To Make Venetian-style Scallops

Ingredients
- 1 lb scallops
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1 lemon, zest and juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley, for garnish
Instructions

Pat the scallops dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the scallops and sear for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove the scallops from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the white wine and let it simmer for 2 minutes to reduce slightly.

Add the lemon zest and juice to the skillet and stir well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Return the scallops to the skillet and toss them in the sauce until evenly coated. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the scallops are heated through.

Serve the Venetian-style scallops hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
