How To Make Prawn Biryani Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Basmati rice
  • 500g Prawns
  • 2 Onions, sliced
  • 1 tsp Ginger paste
  • 1 tsp Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala powder
  • 2 Green chili, chopped
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 4 Cloves
  • 2 Cardamom pods
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Coriander leaves, for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice in water and soak it in water for 30 minutes.

  2. Heat oil in a pan and add bay leaves, cloves, cardamom, and cinnamon.

  3. Add sliced onions and cook until golden brown.

  4. Add ginger and garlic paste and cook for a minute.

  5. Add coriander powder, cumin seeds, and green chili. Cook for a minute.

  6. Add the prawns and cook for 5 minutes or until cooked.

  7. Drain the rice and add it to the pan along with garam masala powder and salt. Mix well.

  8. Add 2 cups of water and let it cook on medium flame until rice is cooked and water is absorbed.

  9. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
