  • 1 pound of hake fillets, cooked and flaked
  • 2 cups of mashed potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 cup of bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flaked hake, mashed potatoes, Dijon mustard, parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly incorporated.

  2. Shape the mixture into patties, about 1/2 inch thick.

  3. Place the bread crumbs on a plate and coat each patty with bread crumbs, pressing gently to adhere the crumbs.

  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the fish cakes for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
