How To Make Hake Fish Cakes with Mustard Middles

Ingredients
- 1 pound of hake fillets, cooked and flaked
- 2 cups of mashed potatoes
- 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 cup of bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the flaked hake, mashed potatoes, Dijon mustard, parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly incorporated.

Shape the mixture into patties, about 1/2 inch thick.

Place the bread crumbs on a plate and coat each patty with bread crumbs, pressing gently to adhere the crumbs.

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the fish cakes for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
