How To Make Baked Stuffed Clams Recipe

Ingredients

  • 24 fresh clams
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup chopped bacon
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. Scrub the clams clean and place them in a large pot of boiling water for 5 minutes, until they open. Remove the clams from the shells and set the shells aside.

  3. In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy, then remove and drain on paper towels. In the same skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until softened.

  4. In a bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, bacon, cooked onion and garlic, parsley, Parmesan cheese, melted butter, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

  5. Stuff each clam shell with a spoonful of the breadcrumb mixture, pressing it firmly into the shell.

  6. Place the stuffed clams on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and heated through.

  7. Serve the baked stuffed clams hot, garnished with fresh parsley and lemon wedges.
