Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 200g Cheshire cheese, grated
  • 200g ham, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. Toast the bread slices in a toaster or under the grill until lightly browned.

  3. In a bowl, combine the Cheshire cheese, ham, mustard, salt, and pepper.

  4. Spread the butter on one side of each toasted bread slice.

  5. Place a generous amount of the cheese and ham mixture on the unbuttered side of half of the bread slices.

  6. Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side up, to form sandwiches.

  7. Place the sandwiches on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
