Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 4 ciabatta rolls
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill or stovetop pan over medium heat.

  2. Season the beef slices with salt and pepper.

  3. Cook the beef for 2-3 minutes on each side until cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.

  4. In the same pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes until softened.

  5. Slice the ciabatta rolls in half lengthwise and lightly toast.

  6. Layer the cooked beef, sautéed onions, and bell peppers onto the bottom half of each roll.

  7. Top each sandwich with a slice of provolone cheese.

  8. Place the sandwiches under the broiler for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  9. Remove from the oven and place the top half of the rolls on each sandwich.

  10. Serve the beefy ciabattas hot and enjoy!
