How To Make Carne Asada Salad

This carne asada salad is made with tender beef served with a bed of crunchy mixed greens, smooth guacamole and pico de gallo. Cook this up in 20 minutes!

  • 10ozbeef strip steak,boneless, 1 inch thick, trimmed
  • 1large garlic clove,minced
  • 1tspground cumin
  • ½tspkosher salt
  • black pepper,to taste
  • 3cupsmixed greens
  • ½cuppico de gallo
  • ¼cupmonterrey jack,shredded
  • 2lime wedges
  • ½cupguacamole
  • lime wedges,additional, optional
  • jalapeno slices,optional


  1. Rub the garlic all over meat, then season with salt, cumin and black pepper.

  2. Heat the grill and oil the grates.

  3. When hot, grill over medium-high heat for about 3 minutes on each side for medium-rare to medium.

  4. Squeeze the juice from 1 lime wedge over each steak. Slice the steaks into thin slices.

  5. Divide the greens, pico de gallo, cheese and guacamole between two plates.

  6. Serve with steak, garnish with lime wedges and jalapeño, and enjoy!
