How To Make Citrus & Thyme Turkey

Ingredients
- 1 whole turkey (12-14 pounds)
- 2 oranges, sliced
- 2 lemons, sliced
- 4 sprigs of fresh thyme
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).

Rinse the turkey and pat it dry with paper towels.

Place the turkey on a rack in a roasting pan.

Stuff the cavity of the turkey with the sliced oranges, lemons, thyme sprigs, and minced garlic.

In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, salt, and pepper. Rub the mixture all over the turkey.

Roast the turkey in the preheated oven for approximately 3 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Baste the turkey with the pan juices every 30 minutes.

Once cooked, remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for 20-30 minutes before carving.
